Sebastian & Leidys

We were out walking near the cabin we’d rented for the weekend — just the two of us, bundled up, trying to soak in the last bit of winter before everything turned green again. The ground was still patchy with snow, and the trees were bare but beautiful in that quiet, in-between-season way.
I remember stopping to look at this little cluster of evergreens, and when I turned around, she was already standing close, hand on my chest, smiling like she knew what was coming.
I didn’t have a speech. I just said, “I think this is the moment,” and pulled out the ring. Her eyes got wide, and then she laughed — the kind of laugh that’s half surprise, half tears.
She said yes before I even finished asking.
The ring fits her perfectly. It’s understated but elegant, with just enough sparkle to catch the light when she moves. We didn’t take a bunch of photos. Just one, with the trees behind us and her hand resting where it had been all along.
We still talk about how quiet it was that day. No music, no crowd, no big reveal. Just us, and a moment that felt like it had been waiting for us all winter.
