Hussain & Madison

We’d planned a weekend away to catch the peak of the fall colors. The air was cool enough for coats, but the sun still had that late-afternoon warmth. The trail was quiet except for the crunch of leaves under our shoes.
Somewhere along the path, we stopped to take in the view — trees glowing gold and orange, the light filtering through like it was made just for us. I had my hand resting on his arm when he turned to me and said, “I’ve been carrying something with me all day.”
Before I could ask, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring. No big speech, no crowd — just the two of us, the trees, and the sound of the wind.
I said yes. And then we just stood there for a while, letting the moment sink in. The ring is perfect — classic, with a sparkle that catches even the softest light.
Now, every time I see the leaves start to turn, I think about that day, that trail, and the way everything felt exactly right.
